Francis J. Beckwith's Reflections on Faith, Ethics and Culture
what fun.if only more tv today could be like that.
one of the panelists remarked:"weekly on television and non-profit?! oh boy, have you got a crazy sponsor!"& i loved this: one of the comments on the youtube page, responding to that remark, was:"I bet Christ himself was laughing after she said that. RIP Bishop Sheen"
It is indeed a wonderful video. I know that no age was golden, but, as I told my wife when we watched it, there was something classy and smart about the way people interacted back then. And the respect shown to Sheen was remarkable. But, then again, he was really holy. Not many like that anymore, including yours truly
Interestingly, both Sheen and another classy gentleman scholar, the late Ralph McInerny, graduated from Saint Paul Seminary, my alma mater. Must have been quite the place in ages past. From what I hear, it is again a great place under the leadership of Msgr. Callaghan.
Thank you for the link. The clip was quite wonderful and, and as you said, very classy.
